The Bacchic panic is enough to get you stoked for a rich literary journey into the myths of Dionysus (Bacchus) and Pan (Faunus). Start with the god of wine, visit the sacred grove of Pan, and witness the comic tragedies of Midas and Marysas. End the unit with Orpheus, the hero of the story. Share some of the most engaging orphic myths with middle and high school students with a fantastic array of activities, question banks, and graphic organizers to supplement your next myth unit.
