We often use words and phrases from Greek Mythology and do not even realize it! Have you ever said that you were “caught between a rock and hard place” when you had to make a tough decision? Or, did you ever comment that a friend of yours was so lucky that he seemed to have the Midas touch? If you said yes, then you have used an allusion to Greek myth!
Teach Your Students Something New and Then Have them Collaborate!
In this cooperative learning resource, I have made it easy for you tointroduce your students to common allusions to Greek myth. I find this lesson works best as a mini-project spread over the course of a week. Introduce your scholars to a few examples using my colorful shareable (works well in a 1:1 classroom). Then launch them on a research mission.
